In 2006, senior students in Jingling High School taking the college entrance examination achieved outstanding results, and the school as a whole ranked first in Nanjing. The number of students whose scores surpassed the controlling mark totaled the same as that of the Affiliated High School to Nanjing Normal University(NSFZ), topping the list of all the high schools in Nanjing. Besides, students whose scores exceeded the base line for admission to universities (including those devoted to physics and arts) accounted for 83.4%.
In 2006, all together 594 students exceeded the controlling score for admission to universities, among which 518 exceeded the scores required of access to general courses in universities and 49 for courses of physics and arts (21 of whom also reached the score for that of general courses) in College Entrance Examination, and 27 students were admitted to such key institutes as Tsinghua University, Beijing University, Fudan University, Nanjing University and Southeast University on recommendation for their excellence before the College Entrance Examination.
This year, students’ average scores of Jinling High School for each subject in the examination came at top of the list of high schools in Nanjing, and four students from Jinling High School achieved the highest scores of Biology, History, Politics, and Geography respectively.
