2020年12月22日下午，我校高二年级英语演讲大赛决赛在科学馆报告厅精彩亮相。经过班级海选产生的14名选手各展其能，他们围绕职业生涯规划主题，用标准的英语发音和良好的精神风貌给现场观赛的老师和同学带来了一场别样的英语风采秀。面对评委们的即兴提问，选手们对答如流，展现了不俗的英语核心素养。

演讲比赛后，周靖副校长进行了即兴点评，并邀请两位同学现场互动，谈谈自己的收获与感悟。最后校领导和评委老师给获奖选手颁发荣誉证书，并合影留念。

在英语语言的学习中，“听”与“说”是非常重要的基本技能。两轮英语演讲比赛不仅给同学们提供展示风采的舞台，激发学习热情，更有效提升学生的英语言语能力与思维品质。

It’s a great honor for me to receive this award. I believe this passionately that we don’t necessarily succeed at everything the first time we try. In the past few weeks, I’ve been working on my speech tirelessly. Thanks to Mrs. Hu who shared her splendid suggestions with me. Thanks to my dear friends who supported me and cheered me up when i was feeling nervous. Thanks to myself that i have defeated my fear and stood out to show the best I can.” I won’t give up no I won’t give in, till I reach the end then I’ll start again.” I hope all of you can dream big dreams and achieve your goals!（沙显杨）

Congratulations to myself! It was a like talent show on the stage for me because I actually really enjoy being under the bright stage lights and on the center of the stage. I want to convey my gratitude to my English teacher, Mr. Cui. He helped me with revising manuscripts. Also, thanks to my best friend, Miss. Song.She has been around me and been by my side all through the competition. And thanks to my mom, with her encouragement in the early morning before the competition. Attending the speech competition, I find that each of the competitor is really awesome and we were all well-prepared and learnt a lot. I appreciate this chance to get involved in it.
