The UCLA Global Classroom Program
美国加州大学洛杉矶全球课堂由加州大学洛杉矶国际中心、社科学院和加州大学海外拓展部共同创办，旨在加强中美两国文化的交流。加州大学洛杉矶教授直接入驻金陵中学，为有能力的学生在高中阶段提供大学水平的课程，从而增强学生的学术背景，提高学习思辨能力，为将来赴美留学做好充分的准备。
The UCLA Global Classroom Program, run jointly by the UCLA International Institute and UCLA Division of Social Sciences and UCLA Extension, seeks to enhance mutual cultural exchange between China and the United States by connecting UCLA instructors and administrators with Jinling students and staff.
通过加州大学洛杉矶全球课堂项目，金陵中学中美班学生可以在高二和高三选修部分学位学分课程，全部课程均由来自加州大学的教师任教。学生通过选修课程获得的学分成功转入就读大学后可抵扣相应学分，节省大学本科学习时间的同时，也可在申请美国大学课程的过程中提供极具竞争力的一笔。
Through Global Classroom, Jinling students interested in applying to U.S. universities can take UCLA Extension credit-bearing courses taught by UCLA Extension instructors. Credits earned may be applied to students’ future undergraduate studies in the U.S. and may make them more competitive in their applications to U.S. universities.
学生通过原汁原味的美国大学课程的熏陶，将不仅在英语水平、批判性思维能力上显著提升，也提前融入了美国文化氛围，熟悉了美国的教学风格。学生在接受挑战的同时，为日后在美国的学习预热，从而缩短了真正到美国求学后所需的过渡期，能够大大提高学生在美国名牌大学的成功率。
Our goals are to prepare students for study in the U.S. by increasing their English level, developing their critical thinking skills, and familiarizing them with United States’ culture, society and university teaching methods.
